Training Sessions

Coaches/Managers Code of Conduct during COVID-19

Safety of our Coaches/Managers, players and parents/guardians is paramount during the Covid-19 pandemic, any breach of these rules/guidance will result in suspending training sessions with immediate effect.

Conduct during training sessions

  1. The coach/manager must be willing to RUN the training sessions/matches, the running of the sessions are voluntary and therefore the decision to run a training session/matches resides with the coach/manager.
  2. Players are not permitted to join training sessions until the club secretary has received the following consent forms:
    1. Drayton Grange FC 2020/21 registration form and payment (this ensures the player is covered by our accident insurance, accident insurance only covers accident or injury it does not cover anything related to contracting COVID-19)
    2. Covid-19 player consent form.
  3. Coach/Manager is responsible for ensuring all equipment used during training is thoroughly cleaned with antibacterial wipes/solution prior to use at every training session. Materials will be provided.
  4. No more than 30 players including the coach is permitted to training/match sessions.
  5. Social distancing of 2 metres must be maintained at all times, training sessions shall be planned in such a way to ensure there is limited handling of equipment.
  6. There will be no use of the following: Toilet/changing room facilities
  7. Storage containers and/or storage rooms, training kit will be required to be maintained by the coach/manager.
  8. Coach/Manager is not permitted to transport a player to training unless it is his/her own child, no other members are the coach/manager family is permitted to attend training.
  9. Coach/Manager is not permitted to hold training sessions other than on the day and time designated by the club.
  10. Coach/manager is responsible for ensuring that each player after training/matches uses hand sanitiser.
  11. Coach/manager is responsible for ensuring the equipment (including goals) used after every training session/match is thoroughly cleaned with antibacterial wipes/solution prior to use at every training session.
  12. In the event on a first aid incident, the coach/manager MUST use a mask and gloves prior to treating the injured player. Coaches/Managers will be provided with the appropriate PPE to deal with any first aid requirements.

Drayton Grange FC would like to assure you that players, coaches, club & match officials, volunteers and spectators safety is our up most priority during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Drayton Grange FC would like you to share this document with anyone likely to attend our home grounds and encourage everyone to adhere to the conditions outlined as follows:

  1. Opposition coach is responsible for ensuring their players, Parents/Guardians, spectators, club officials and volunteers are aware of the rules and guidance outlined in the FA and general Government Guidance in relation to recreational sport.
  2. Coaches/managers must adhere to the rules and guidance set out by the FA (see attached) and those imposed by Drayton Grange FC. This includes but not limited to: no more than 30 players including the coaches participating in competitive training/matches, all spectators, volunteers, club & match officials must maintain social distancing.
  3. If a player, coach, club & match official, spectator, volunteer or member of their household or someone they have been in contact with is symptomatic with a possible COVID-19 infection or if you or the player is classified as extremely vulnerable on health grounds, the guidance is that you should remain at home. Covid-19 Symtoms are:
    1. A high Temperature (above 37.8oC)
    2. A new continuous cough
    3. A loss of, or change to, their sense of smell or taste
  4. To ensure the safety of everyone, all attendees shall have thoroughly washed his/hers hands and used hand sanitiser prior to arriving at the ground and on leaving the ground. (Please note that there are no toilet or handwashing facilities at the ground, please ensure everyone has visited the bathroom before leaving for the ground)
  5. To ensure that the car parks are managed in a manner to comply with social distancing measures, Drayton Grange FC requests that you DO NOT arrive at the ground any earlier than 30 mins prior to the start of the match. If you have arrived early please ensure you wait elsewhere.
  6. Social Distancing shall be maintained by all on arrival, during the match including any breaks and on leaving, please ensure that all attendees DO NOT congregate.
  7. Coaches/Managers of the opposition team will be required to confirm that they have a suitable method of recording attendees from their team to ensure compliance with the Governments NHS Test & Trace.
